A Very Special Birthday

This weekend we headed back up to North Carolina for a very special celebration.  It was hubby's grandfather's (a.k.a Big Daddy) 90th birthday.

He is such a wonderful man - so laid back and quiet.  Always tinkering around with something & always tries to plant a garden in the spring and share with neighbors all summer.

I'm glad we got to make the trip to help him celebrate.

Here are some pictures from the festivities.  The party was held at their daughter (Aunt Dale's ) house - I just love her pond in the backyard.  Come along for the party.

Two beautiful & sweet girls - Katie & Gracie.
Katie is Rob's sister's daughter.

Here are Big Daddy & Big Mama with all of their grand-kids & great grand-kids.
What a blessing - wish my grand-parents were still here.

Four generations of Edwards men.

And now for the Edwards ladies.

Everybody had such a great time visiting and seeing each other.  We aren't all able to get together but maybe once a year so it was extra special to celebrate with Big Daddy.

Thanks for coming along and if your grand-parents are still with you - go give them a big hug.

Look Who Got Older

Not only were we celebrating Thanksgiving last week, but we threw in a couple of birthday celebrations as well.
B turned 11 and G is now 8.
Here are a few pictures from the festivities.

These stilts were one of B's gifts & everybody had more fun with those things.

(When I say everybody, I mean everybody....even Uncle B & Daddy tried them out. Mommy may have given them a whirl herself - no photo proof though.)

The kids had a great time celebrating with family.

To everybody who helped them to feel special & loved on their special days....Thank You.

We have a wonderful family and are very blessed.
