NC Vacation Part 2

Continuing our recap of last week's vacation to our wonderful home state of North Carolina.....

Hubby's family lives down near Wilmington so on Wednesday we packed up the cars (yes I meant two - long story) and headed a little further south.

In all of my 38 (uhmm) years, I had never visited the downtown/waterfront area of the beautiful city of Wilmington. Well, I saw this as the perfect opportunity to gather up my camera, more than willing family members and my trusty GPS and to the waterfront we went.

First things first, we had to have lunch at Flaming Amy's Burrito Barn - the best ever. You must give it a try if you're ever in the area. My fav is their Greek burrito - yum-my.

Now that my tummy's full - let's continue on.

I believe this was The Deliverence - just came in for their weekend liberty.

My crew checking out the beautiful view.

The USS North Carolina was docked across the way.

Random scenery.....

As beautiful as it was, it was also really HOT, so we made the decision to head somewhere we could cool off - the beach.

My favorite place to spend any vacation is at the beach - the edge of this beautiful country that we are so blessed to call home.

Have a wonderful weekend.

I LOVE seeing your vacation pictures. I always dream of taking vacations and going somewhere new. Also, the beach looks wonderful and I'm sure the kids (and the adults) LOVED it!!! What fun!!

DT Wilmington looks really nice. I've been there a few times, but never been downtown. Very nice beach pics too! Looks like so much fun.

Hi! I found you from Jules at The Roost.

Great photos! Looks like a good place to visit. My mom and dad are headed out tomorrow from the Birmingham, AL area to visit my dad's brother near Raliegh NC. He's looking forward to the visit, but not the drive!!
