A little of this & a little of that

We haven't been doing too much the last couple of days.

G's been out of school with strep throat. 103 fevers are always fun.

We did stroll outside a little while ago to take a look at the beautiful color still in the area.

Take a look around our yard.

Our young trees. I hope we can stay here long enough to see them get a lot larger.

The river birch in front has already lost it's leaves.

G & I threw together a couple of grapevine wreaths for the gates.I'll change them up seasonally. I didn't put too much effort into the fall look since Christmas will be going up in a few weeks.

That's about all we've been up to. Stop back by again soon.

Oh, almost forgot, I finished New Moon last night. I need a quick trip out to get the last two.

November

Well, after the last few days, I need to get back to basics.

I can't believe it's November already.

I can't believe the direction our country just headed.

I just need to remind myself that God is in control of all things and everything will work out

to His Will.

Ok, no more election thoughts. I'm done with the whole thing, so.....

I just love November.

The leaves are beautiful & falling, I start planning the Thanksgiving feast, we have two birthdays to celebrate and of course....starting to plan for Christmas.

Let's just take a break before all of the chaos insues and look around at God's beauty that surrounds us everyday.

These are of a lake that's not far from our house. Just beautiful!

Exploring the Upstate

Yesterday my new friend (my camera) and I hopped in the car to see what we could find.

We did have one particuliar destination in mind. One that I'd seen signs for but never had the time to go see, so today was the day.

Take a look at what we found on this beautiful autumn day.......

Isn't she beautiful? It was built in 1909 and is the last covered bridge in SC.

This is what it actually looks like - couldn't they have blocked it off better than that?
