We must get involved.

Here I am to do my once a week post.

It seems like that's all I've been doing lately. I just can't muster up the enthusiasm to do any more than that.

I don't know why I've lost that bloggin' feelin'.

Things at home are wonderful (especially in the grand scheme of things), the weather is turning toward spring, and we are all healthy.

I know one reason I've been a little distracted lately is the state of our government and the path down which our country is running at break neck speed.

I just stopped by one of my favorite blogs,
Shell in your Pocket and she had such an inspirational post today that I just had to come back here and help continue her work.

"What is she so passionate about?" you ask? Well, let me tell you. She is "on her soapbox" today about our need to take a stand for our country. The Christians of the world need to STAND UP and say "STOP THIS MADNESS". Sure, we go to church and say our prayers and fix dinners for those in need (and those are things we're supposed to do), but we also need to take a national stand on these big issues that are facing our country today.

Who knows what God's plan is for us. Maybe He's testing our strength and our resolve. Maybe He's testing our dedication and commitment for what is right and standing up for His Word.
Maybe we're even heading toward the end of days, as some people feel we are.

Whatever God's plan is for us, we can make our voices heard.....if we take action.

Look around. Check out these wonderful resources for getting involved and not just sitting this one out. IT'S IMPORTANT!

Here are some ways to find out what's really going on. (You have to dig around for the real story cause you're not going to find it on The Today Show or Good Morning America.)

Mother of All Conservatives

Neal Boortz

Glenn Beck

Worthington Wire

Herman Cain

Fox News

Sean Hannity (thanks for the reminder Jen)

These are some great websites to check out, so while you're pondering what to do about that meal planning or which fabric to hang at your windows.....go check out something that really matters.

Thanks for reading. If I've stepped on any toes, just ask yourself why you're so offended....maybe it's not my words but your conscience.

One last thing.....Happy 200 posts to me!

oh friend - I know about losing that blogging feeling. I have been not able to leave comments on all my favorite friends (like you) just because I realized that it was sucking my time away.
Now, I will join her on that soapbox since you've listed all my favorites right in one list (except Sean Hannity - love him too).

a great 200th post! Not offended either... I've been to some of these sites and the others I'll be checking out!

I'm also very concerned with our dumb-downed society so to speak. It's very scary the direction we are headed into...and right on about not getting the truth and facts on Good Morning America and so on...they are part of the problem!

Girl...I can't even get on my soapbox cause I may never stop!!!

Know what you mean about the bloggin thing...it's just not working for me like I'd like either..I have great things to share just can't find the time and words to make them worthwhile...I hope its just the Spring bug:)

Yes indeed~ Happy 200 posts to you deary!
I saw this on Sandy Toes blog as well. It is frightening the direction things are going, isn't it? Jason is in the military supporting the country and I hope it's making a difference...we've got Bryce in a church school to help us instill these values in him.
Good post you have here! Thanks for doing this!
Many hugs, Les

Congrats on your 200th post. I like Pinehurst too. My husband especially likes the golf part. :O) I lived in SC (Irmo) for 1 year, and didn't like it at the time, but looking back, I like it better than where I currently live. I understand b/c I'm "sucking it up" until we can move elsewhere...problem is, my husband likes his job, so I guess I'm stuck here for awhile. I'm thankful that he has one - at least. I'm trying to "make lemonade". :O)
