As many of you know, we are in the middle of a relocation to SC. Hubby has been gone since May, so that leaves mom & the kiddos here until we find a new home and can get moved.
Since it's summer time and we're not busy with school activities I have some extra time to surf around in blogland. I have found some great blogs out there about entertaining. While viewing these I have found myself becoming more & more bored with my life (as it is now). It seems like all I do is take the kids to the pool, search for houses on-line, and wait for people to show up to do their assigned task for the relo.
When what I really want to be doing this summer is more of this:

I want to have summer cook-outs and get-togethers. I want to grill out at night with my hubby and family. I know in my head that it will be over (eventually) but for now it's dragging on forever.
Now that I've had my little pity party, let me live vicariously through you.
Tell me what kind of entertaining you've been doing lately.

So sorry to hear that you are blah.
It is hard when you are stuck in the "in between" stage.
Hang in there, and this fall when you all are together again, we want to see lots and lots of stuff about entertaining on your blog.
You totally look like you know what you are doing! :)
ps-sorry to make you sad on my post yesterday. :(
I haven't been doing too much entertaining lately either. I hope your house sells soon so you can be with your hubby!
I have been in the worst mood all day - BAD mood. It must be something in the air - there and here - HA!
Have a good Sunday - Kellan
Sadly, we haven't done any entertaining either. We're about to move in a few weeks and we've spent all of June & July trying to figure out IF we were moving, WHEN we would get to move, and SELLING our current place too.
Besides, I don't get to go all out with placecards and fancy shrimp even when I do entertain LOL!!
I'm bacccckkkk!
I have been living on a baseball field this weekend.
I have so much to catch up on.
Sorry to hear you are feeling BLAH!
I wish I could tell you I have been having lavish parties and blow out bashes.
That, my friend, is not happening.
I, like you, have been on a ball field or camp, or hanging out at the pool.
You will have to share the links to these fabulous entertaining sites.
I would love to read about them and maybe it would inspire me to throw a party!
Cheer up... the party is coming!!!
Love the new bloggie look!! That in-between is brutal. My husband and I lived in that in-between for a few years and it is NOT fun!!! It will get better when you get settled. Anyway, the mermaid book is The Mermaid's Manual, www.bloomsbury.com/usa/childrens. It is super cute!! Hope she likes it!!
I'm sorry to hear you are having a hard time. Just tell yourself it is only going to get better! You can check out some of my recipes to plan for your future cook out with your husband and family! Feel better! Talk to you soon!
Oh, I know what you mean. I am DESPERATE for somebody to let me throw a big pink poufy baby shower around my dining room table.
